How do you get a community of like minded people togther to celebrate a common interest?

How do you create comething that is larger than life?

Something that inspires, educates and brings in a sense of purpose amongst people from various geographies and backgrounds.

How do you energise your colleagues and staff to work towards a common goal in an environment with ambiguity and uncertainity, while living the brand philosopy?

There is no greater feeling than to brainstorm, get people together, execute and see ideas come alive.

The Nature Aquarium Festival was one such event that was born out of passion and the need for getting a community together and establish a sense of oneness.

I curated the festival under three main levers i.e education, entertainment and engagement.

  • Education: Various workshops, lectures and filed visits were put together to get people to learn the art of Aquascaping and as a result of that,, they were more connected to their art and ultimately to mother nature.

  • Entertainment: Who doesn't like to have fun? In a hobby that was considered to be a serious one I saw the need for people to let their guard down and relax a little during the festival.

  • Engagement: Hobbyists got the chance to meet and interact with their role models from other countries. This was a opportunity for them to meet, learn and share their passion for thier craft.

The festival continues to draw people from all parts of the world in a one of kind gathering, the Nature Aquarium Festival.

My Role:

Ideation, execution, design, process, event management, people management, event marketing, vendor management, emceeing, guest coordination, public relations.
